Executive General Manager
Darren is an accomplished senior executive with over 35 years’ experience leading complex maritime, engineering and infrastructure operations across Australia, Asia and New Zealand.
As Executive General Manager, Darren holds responsibility for operational leadership, commercial performance and strategic growth across multi-site, asset-intensive environments. His experience spans senior roles in both the public and private sectors, including leadership of Brisbane River City Ferries and Newcastle Ferries, where he developed a strong reputation for managing high-volume, safety-critical operations.
Darren brings a rare combination of operational credibility and enterprise-level oversight. He leads geographically dispersed teams across marine, engineering and infrastructure functions, with responsibility for safe and reliable service delivery, regulatory compliance, commercial performance, stakeholder engagement and long-term business growth.
His work involves close engagement with owners, government, regulators, strategic partners and international clients. With a practical understanding of complex operating environments, Darren is well placed to support investment decisions, strengthen organisational capability and guide strategic initiatives that connect operational delivery with future growth.
At ADEC Kedge, Darren also plays a key role in the development of the proposed ADEC BLUE platform, a strategic initiative designed to connect design, build, compliance and lifecycle maritime services. He is also an appointed member of the Tamar Estuary Economic Maritime Precinct Steering Group, contributing to broader maritime infrastructure and industry capability planning.
The ADEC Kedge team has a broad range of expertise and is always ready to respond to our customers’ needs.
