ADEC Kedge contributed to a salmon aquaculture vessel study led by the World Maritime University (WMU), investigating safety and operational practices in the sector. The study considered several factors regarding the evaluation of the registration process and the regulatory framework of the fleets involved in the aquaculture of salmonids.

As a research partner, ADEC Kedge assisted the WMU in examining the industry framework, crewing and crew qualifications, environmental legislation, likely changes to current regulations, strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats, as well as current certification requirements for vessels working in the salmonid sector and expected changes to processes in coming years.
